The Ideal

The alum-no had no idea where he was heading, nor what would you teach tomorrow or for what taught you, that you were teaching today. If was happening to any student ask: for what study this?, answered you calmly that he learned it by now and that later he would know why. With what is was clearly pointing to the escision between end and means. The end was external to the activity esco-lar.

Within the modern conception, the end is internal, immanent to the school activity. The student must understand the sense and purpose of what makes, at the time making it. 2 – The use of reason to resolve problems. The second ideal of democracy is the use of reason. Democracy in – tends the faith in intelligence to solve problems and faith in the powers of reason – ment of man to avoid excesses and defects. The enrichment of the spirit, by the observation of the real and the conservators-placion of the ideal, add to, the cultivation of reason. It is not only the development of logical thinking, but the acquisition of the Faculty know emerge from empiricism and transform images in ideas, symbols facts and experiences in legislation.

This was the wisdom of the Greek people, having created the methods racionales and the order of the General ideas, and this spiritual evasion outside the empirismo has helped humanity, raised to the universal civilization by encima of all forms and cultures. For this reason should be done to walk to each young student, to each persone that it intends to form, the route of the Greeks, i.e. raise it from the simple conocimiento of the concrete fact to rational intelligence. Democracy promotes the development of the truth and considered as imported – you that the opinion of the minority is protected as a possible source really, instead of judging minority as a scapegoat, as occurred in the last war with the Jews.

Gerardo Machado

He studied first in the Cuban city of Santa Clara and also in Vilafranca del Penedes, Barcelona, where the father was originating. On his return to Cuba ends secondary education Institute of second education in Santa Clara. He graduated in civil law and public law at the Faculty of law of the University of Havana. Thanks to a scholarship, he returned to Spain to study at the Universidad Central de Madrid (1921-1922). On his return to Cuba intervened, in 1923, in the protest of the thirteen against Alfredo Zayas, President of the Republic, and was a co-founder of the magazine Venezuela Libre, developing an intense political activity.

He participated in the creation of the Hispanic Cuban institution of Culture and the forward magazine. Their opposition led to the Government of Gerardo Machado to jail and later exile in Mexico, where he was Professor of the Universidad Autonoma of Mexico City. The fall of Machado returns to Havana, but he was again separated from the Chair as director of the Communist newspaper the word. In 1936 he suffers a new exile in Mexico. He carries out an intense activity in favour of the Spanish Republic and travels to Spain to attend the II Congress of writers.

He collaborated on the magazine time in Spain, and afternoon, was a member of the Council of cooperation of Romance, magazine popular hispanoamericana, which collaborated a great numbers of Spanish intellectuals in exile. President of the Revolutionary Union Party was elected delegate of the constituent Assembly. He attended conferences and meetings of the World Council of peace. In the Decade of the fifties, suffers several imprisonments for his opposition to the Batista dictatorship. After the revolution of 1959, was appointed rector of the University of Havana.

Pursue University Studies

CONSUMER.ES/EROSKI stakeholders must certify work and professional experience in relation to a teaching by this University. This opportunity of access will be provided to persons who have reached 40 years of age by October 1, 2011. The Universidad Nacional de Educacion a Distancia (UNED) has included in the 2011-2012 academic year the possibility to pursue university studies in people over age 40 who have not benefited from qualifying titles for this purpose.Interested parties must certify work and professional experience in relation to a teaching by this University. This opportunity of access will be provided for persons who have fulfilled 40 years old by October 1, 2011, possessing no academic qualifications enabling to access University and proving work and professional experience in relation to a teaching. These people may access at the UNED of degree studies relevant to his professional experience, since access shall be granted exclusively to a particular degree of UNED and will not be valid for other grades of this University or for access to other universities.

Other modalities of access the UNED will also provide other forms of access for people over the age of 25 and 45 years old, through the realization of a specific test. Using one of the access roads may only be done in each academic year. Regarding testing for over 25 years, you can equal baccalaureate if given the requirements of being in possession of the qualification of graduate in secondary education compulsory or equivalent to professional ctos and having passed at least 15 ECTS credits of University studies. Persons who successfully pass this test have access prrente to pursue degrees at the UNED. Students who, after overcoming the proof of access at the UNED, wish to pursue studies degree at another University, may assert the result of this test, although the receiver Center will prrencia in the admission to students who have passed the test at the University. The Polytechnic University of Cartagena, Spain, and the University of Cartagena, Colombia, signed an agreement to strengthen the postgraduate courses offered by both institutions. This academic agreement will enable teachers and students from both schools pursue joint master’s degrees and doctorates, facilitating international mobility.Felix Faura Mateu, rector of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena, noted that the lines of masters and doctorate expected strengthening are those especially related to engineering, and said, we are exploring new avenues of collaboration and possibility of connecting the two universities.Universidad Politecnica de Cartagena is specialized in the field of engineering, their studies are industry, shipbuilding, mechanical, mining, food processing, civil engineering and the whole engineering firms.
